Dear Avinashji...
Baapre evdha research karayla vel kasa milala ho?...
You have brought out one positive aspect of migration very clearly...Mumbai has been a city of migrants...take any field right from domestic work and daily wage work to the high profile jobs in the IT sector or the entertainment sector...everybody is a migrant...even most of the so called marathis are migrants from other parts of maharashtra...
However I have always maintained that too much of everything leads to degradation...too much salt in food makes the food distasteful...and what Mumbai faces is too many migrants...while many have made it big by migranting to Mumbai...yet many are still struggling. Today Mumbai is bursting with people...and with every train, bus, airplane that enters mumbai...many more come in...due to all this the rich resources of Mumbai are fast depleting and this needs to stop somewhere...
Sharmila
loved it...
Felt great to re enter the world of sulekha blogs with this post...
